Hungary hotel occupancy rate rises to 64.8pc in May

Average occupancy rate at selected three-, four- and five-star hotels in Hungary was 64.8pc in May 2008, above the April rate of 57.5pc, and up from 60.8pc in May 2007, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Monday.

[MTI] In January-May the average occupancy rate was 52.8pc, slightly up from 52.7pc in the same period a year earlier.
May guest nights at the selected hotels rose 9.2pc from the same month a year earlier, after a 11.8pc yr/yr drop in April. January-May guest nights rose 1.0pc yr/yr.
