Zalakoros plans HUF 3bn spa, city-centre development

The local government of Zalakaros (SW Hungary) plans a HUF 3bn project to develop its spa and city centre, deputy-mayor Judit Paukar Czirkai said at a press conference on Friday.

[MTI] They plan to build two hotels to be connected with the spa and a further building for fitness and wellness services.

The city expects EU funding to cover 30pc of the cost of the project. It will spend HUF 900m of its own resources and use bank loans for the rest.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
